We are now taking enrolments for 2020. If you are yet to enrol for 2019, please contact the school as soon as possible!

Mulgrave Primary School is currently experiencing high demand for enrolments. The school is nearing capacity and is looking to manage enrolments in line with the Department of Education and Training’s guidelines, which seeks to limit enrolments from outside of the school zone (see map) to a maximum of 50% of total enrolments. This still allows for parent choice to ensure every child can attend a school that is right for them, whilst managing increasing demand. The school’s enrolment policy is available below and outlines the enrolment criteria for our school. Families who live within our school catchment will always have a place at MPS and we will do our utmost to accommodate all families.

As such, from April 2019, the school will begin a pairing system whereby each enrolment from outside of our zone will be confirmed as we receive a corresponding enrolment from within, up to approximately 72-80 students in total. Should space allow and demand warrant it, a 5th class will be created upon reaching 85 enrolments, to maintain our current approach of having the lowest Foundation class sizes possible.

The school requests that enrolment forms are lodged with the school prior to the end of Term 2 (28.6.2019) so that we can offer certainty to families as early as possible. For those seeking enrolment from outside the school’s zone after June 30th, the school will provide written notification of your place on the list to provide as much transparency as possible. Our goal is to accommodate every child and we will continue to work with the Department of Education and Training to ensure that we remain an accessible school for all families.
